Since I was a child, I have had vivid dreams. Some so vivid that at times that the recollection of which blurs the line between dream and memory; what was subconscious intuition versus a pre-cognitive warning. My training in art history has urged me to seek out the symbolism in every dream, however after years of journaling my REM adventures, I have ultimately been left with more questions than answers. In my mixed media pieces, I try to convey the feeling of analyzing ones own dreams. Some parts are hazy, some are unmistakable. Things emerge that you don’t always expect. And some things are just there because it was the last thing you read about before closing your eyes. Everything in the art making process was deliberate, but the meaning in the final pieces are as infinite as what the viewer can interpret.
